Troubleshooting: "Chrome Blocked My Download"

Modified on Wed, 7 Jan at 6:06 PM

Occasionally, Google Chrome may flag a perfectly safe digital art .zip file as "suspicious" or attempt to block the download. This is a common "false positive" that happens with many independent digital art sites.

If you see a warning message or a "Discard" button:

  1. Do not panic! The file is safe; Chrome is just being extra cautious.

  2. Look for the arrow (or sometimes three dots) next to the warning message or the "Discard" button.

  3. Click the arrow to open the menu.

  4. Select Keep (or Keep Anyway).

  5. The download status should change, and the file will finish downloading to your computer.
