How to Open Zip Files on an iPad or iPhone (Safari)

Great news! You no longer need third-party apps to open your downloads on iOS. You can download, unzip, and organize everything directly using the native Files app already installed on your device.

Step 1: Download the File

1. Log in to your Digital Artistry account using Safari (or your preferred browser).

2. Tap the download link for your product.

3. A pop-up will ask if you want to download the file. Tap Download.

4. You will see a small blue arrow icon in the address bar indicating progress.

Step 2: Locate the File

1. Minimize your browser and open the Files app (the blue folder icon).

2. Navigate to the "Downloads" folder (usually found under "iCloud Drive" or "On My iPad")

Step 3: Unzip

1. Find your downloaded Zip file in the list.

2. Tap the Zip file once.

3. Your iPad will automatically extract the contents and create a new blue folder with the same name right next to the zip file.

4. Tap the new folder to access your kits, papers, and elements!

Step 4: Using the files You can now drag and drop these files into apps like Procreate, GoodNotes, or Affinity Photo using the iOS "Split Screen" feature, or use the "Import" function within your design software to browse your Files folder.
