How to Unzip Your Files

Modified on Wed, 7 Jan at 6:07 PM

Most of our products are delivered as .ZIP files. This keeps multiple files (like papers and elements) together in one neat package. You must "unzip" or "extract" the folder before you can use the files in your software.

On a PC (Windows)

Note: Please do not just double-click the file to open it. This only provides a "preview" and the files will not work correctly in your software.

  1. Locate the downloaded .zip file (usually in your Downloads folder).

  2. Right-click on the file.

  3. Select Extract All... from the menu.

  4. A window will pop up asking where you want to save the files. Click Extract.

  5. A new folder will appear (without the zipper on the icon). Use the files from this new folder.

On a Mac

  1. Locate the downloaded .zip file (usually in your Downloads folder).

  2. Double-click the file.

  3. The file will automatically unzip. A new blue folder with the same name will appear right next to the original zip file.

  4. Use the files from this new blue folder.
